His areas of practice center primarily on person injury claims, workers’ compensation, social security disability, estate planning, successions, and contractual matters. Before joining the firm of Gabe A. Duhon in 2012, James worked in the domestic oil and gas industry in contract negotiations related to exploration project assembly. James endeavors to focus his efforts on individual attention to his clients and enjoys serving the people of his community, much like the three generations of family members practicing law in Vermilion Parish before him.
Wyman spent the first four years of his practice with a national firm primarily representing insurance companies in losses sustained as a result of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Gustav. Wyman also represented carriers and insurers in property damage and personal injury losses sustained as a result of transportation activities, in addition to doing general liability defense and litigation. In 2011, Wyman left that firm to found Bankston Duhon, LLC, a firm that focuses on acting as both advocate and counselor in all matters concerning our clients. With offices located in Livingston and Abbeville, Bankston Duhon, LLC offers our clients metropolitan experience with small town service, as our attorneys and staff utilize the latest technologies to deliver effective representation in a cost-efficient and expedient manner. Wyman and his wife, Millie, attend The Mission Church in Hammond, Louisiana, and Wyman stands on the biblical principle that, in all matters, we should follow justice and let justice prevail (Deuteronomy 16:19-20).
